A new version of the CDCheck utility has been released, designed to check and diagnose the status of CD-disks, as well as to recover information from damaged CD-media. CDCheck checks the disk and reports which of the files are damaged, can perform bitwise comparison of files and directories on a CD with their copies on a hard disk, create and check CRC files, can try to recover problem files.
